I've tried absolutely everything to get the sound editor to connect to my XL. It was working just fine, hadn't even restarted the computer since when it was working and now it doesn't detect it.
Exact same issue as http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=44848 however no amount of reinstalling/port switching/restarting/registry cleaning is fixing it.
KORG USB-MIDI Driver 1.13r6 on Windows 7 64bit
The driver configuration tool shows the microKORG in the device list and everything seems fine, no errors but in the editor's preferences it doesn't list it in midi in/out, there's nothing there.
"Not use MIDI IN Device"
I checked the KORG microKORG in device manager and it says "This device is working properly.", tried updating the drivers by selecting \KORG\KORG USB-MIDI Driver in program files and it says it's the latest version.
No idea what to do and other people are having the same issue so far with no official word from Korg on how to fix it. Would hate to have to bring it back over this but it's reaching that point..
In the uninstaller tool it lists the Korg on midi10 (leaving nearly a whole page of entries blank if it matters) and says it's connected. In FL Studio 9 it doesn't list it under input controllers.
**UPDATE**
I've resolved the issue by using the USB-MIDI uninstaller (UnInstDrv.exe) to remove a USB Audio Device from midi3 which it then installed into that free slot and now it's detected. No idea where the 7 entries of USB Audio Devices came from but apparently the editor doesn't look past them where it was installed on 10.

Not use MIDI IN Device!
Hey, I know this post is quite old but I thought I try my luck anyway and see if I get any answer
I just got my new MicroKorg XL. Sounds beautifully, looks gorgeous.... but it won't work with the editor. I tried to unistall/reinstall everything, which means drivers and editor, 5 times. I followed step by step what they say on the StartUp guide. It's even more frustrating because it is recognized in the MIDI ports, it's in position nr. 2, so this shouldn't be the issue.
I tried with a friend's laptop and this time the issue is even different... It is recognized as a MIDI IN Device (which doesn't happen on my laptop) but if I try to receive the data from the MicroKorg another message appears, don't remember exactly which one though
I am going nuts and I can't believe that the Korg is faulty, I don't think that giving it back is the solution. Any help is welcome......!
Thanks
