Wondering how this patch works. To me it looks like all it is doing is EG2 is modulating the high pass filter. With the Peak set up higher, it does sound similar to oscillator sync, but why?

Is it just the way the high pass filter's resonance peak works? I take it that there's no "regular" oscillator sync function in the MS-20.

Yes, the MS-20 doesn't have sync. This patch seems to use the interaction of the resonant filters to emulate that timbre (to me, btw, the LPF is the more important component of this particular sound).

For a cleaner sync lead, with actual oscillator sync, try the AL-1.

Hope this helps,

Dan

Thanks Dan.

I love the graphical interfaces. I wish the AL-1 had a graphical interface. I just got a fun lead sound with it. Can't wait to use it on a gig that will showcase the Kronos.
