I found that the User sound 3 and 4 is not working on this os,
I did not know this befor, And i was making my sound on this bank locations, And after 6 days of tweaking sampling converting my samples, I see this is an OS BUG,
KORG know this and they did not even go out and WARNED us, for not using User sound locations 3 & 4.

Hi Asena,
Where did you read about this bank location problem? There's nothing on KorgPA.com or on this forum about this. Do you know for fact that they're aware of this issue?

100%, Belive me That sound i maded , GUITAR, Is Gone, I heave the samples, So i can Create it again, The problem is, If you made a Sound in 3 x , And Saved it on USER SOUND 3 or 4, Than You save, After , You will load again, There is EMTY,
No sound no name no nothing, Al your edit will be gone, Samples is stored in HDD so they are still there, But Edits FX PAN EQ LFO and all is gone,
This is soooo Stuped, They know it and they are not telling us, like ( DONT USE USER SOUND LOC 3 And 4,
I,m Soooo Angry.

Hi,
User banks #03 and #04 not being saved seems to be limited to the Save All procedure. The new OS fixing this issue is due in a few days. Sorry for that and for the delay in reporting it, but we had to be sure of the cause.

Trammanoni, Does this mean that If i load the set whit my set, It will be there , I mean my sounds will appear in new os?
I mean they are saved, Couse of the size of SET.
So when are you guys planing to shut out the OS?
I know the OS cant be 100% but better than this OS.
It,s scary to take out 3x for gigs on this OS.

Well, most customers are a Beta tester in a way, but that doesn't apply to some common basic easy to find features. It's not like this software has to be compatible with third party PC computers running with all kinds of random hardware components...It's much easier to detect bugs when the operating system is specifically programmed to work with one machine that's also designed and put together by the same company.
probably their beta testers just got the keyboard and didn't do whole lot of testing? ....I don't know man, I just hope the next update will be a solid fully working patch. Looks like it's due in few days , so hang in there!

Dear Sam, I also hope that the Next OS is Solid, so many days i maded that guitar sound, And a friend helped me to fix that sound, this things is never easy, i,m realy great on making sounds and tweak this, but i,m frustieted when after 4 days programming, the work just dissepears.
So god or bad, ?
I think i,m the person here now who must build that sound again, thats takes time , and time is money, so, i realy hope that they can fix it realy god, KORG better take you,r time to fix it god, than just give us another Beta, Please.

Asena,
Your PCM Samples are not gone. Just the Sounds.
If you didn't do any complex programming, you can reassign the PCM Samples to Sounds residing in banks other than User 03 and 04, and recover all your work.
The fix is on the way.

Look at page 94 of Advanced Edit Manual:
Export Multisample page
Open this page by selecting the Export command from the page
menu, while you are in any page of the Multisample section.
First of all, select the target location where to export the multisample:
Then touch the Save button to see the Export MultiSample dialog
box:
By using this function, you can export from the internal HD
(KHD_SYSTEM) the multisample in edit in the Multisample
section, and all linked samples. The Export operation generates a
“.KMP” file (Korg’s proprietary file format for multisamples),
and a folder containing a series of “.KSF” files (Korg’s proprietary
file format for samples) inside the same directory.
Note: When exporting a stereo multisample, be careful to assign a
different name to the Left and Right channel files, to avoid overwriting.
A “-L” and “-R” suffix is usually added after the name of
this kind of files. |
