I'm sorry that you're having difficulty. Can you provide more information on this? For instance:
Are you connected the USB stick and then starting up the system, or waiting until the system starts up and then connecting the stick?
Do you see an error message, or does the system just stop responding? If it stops responding, how long have you waited before giving up?
Thanks,

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your response. I am using the following USB stick:
http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?id=10531
The scenario is, Kronos is up and running (e.g. I can play German Grand). Then I connect the USB stick and press the 'Disk' button, after which the keyboard goes into a state of inactivity. It doesn't respond to any of the buttons I try to press, such as Program and Combi buttons. I waited for about 15 secs and then pressed the power button to boot up again.
Is there any trick that I'm missing? The USB stick has a factory auto-run program and some previous data, just to let you know if that helps investigating.. |

I agree bro. If you want strong acoustic sounds, then go with the motif xs/xf. |

Those factory auto run programs can play havoc with many other devices. I would backup the files to your PC, freshly format the stick, in the Kronos, and put all the files back on it from the PC, and try that. _________________ Stephen Kay - KARMA Developer • Karma-Lab - karma-lab.com

Hi mate, I agree that 'some' of the acc sounds are better on Motif, however my approach to bridge the gap is to buy 3rd party sounds for the areas where Kronos lacks. I had considered going to other rote but in that case I would have to buy Kronos for what Motif lacks. The earlier was more convenient and cost effective... |

Hi Stephan, thanks for the tip. This worked for me. Initially I formatted the USB stick on my laptop and copied the KARO folder in it, however Kronos didn't recognise it, hence I formatted it again on Kronos and then copied the folder form my laptop. This didn't work either but it did after I put the USB stick into the 2nd USB port.
I'm now able to enjoy the Oasys sounds, although they do not sound exactly as they used to sound on Oasys. Perhaps something has been implemented differently on Kronos (I may be wrong). |
