I'm sure you're doing it as we speak...but I'd call them to ask for the status...
I was typically calling every Saturday (since that was a day that I could trek out to pick it up if it came in) and found out that the keyboard actually arrived Thursday night.
Good luck |

Just picked up my Kronos 88 from Sam Ash in NY (Long Island).
They had received 3 - I was one of 2 pre-orders and 1 is floor model.
Serial - 139.
My 5 year old was playing with the 2 joysticks (the snap to center one and the free-form one) and if she couldn't break it, then it seems pretty stable. Time will tell, of course.
Anyway, just wanted to say that they're here (at least in NY) and they sound and feel FANTASTIC!
Dan/Rich/Whomever else...GREAT GREAT JOB.
Thanks

Thank you! A lot of people at Korg worked for years to make the KRONOS; it's great to see it getting into the hands of musicians. _________________ Dan Phillips

Almost every one in my family has popped by my place to see my new 'toy'...everyone has commented on the gorgeous screen, the nice feel of the piano, and, of course, the sounds. They were all just blown away.
Also, as a side note, I'm 5'6" and have insanely fat fingers...I've been using a stylus from DSI and it works perfectly.
So, if anyone has a stylus lying around, it's a good alternative to hitting 4 buttons at the same time

I bought 60 of them on eBay in anticipation of this, and I've sold about 40 of them and made a profit. Now if I could do that about a thousand more times, it would pay for a Kronos... |

I am supposedly Sweetwater 88 Order #1, but I haven't heard anything.
I placed my order less than 30 minutes after the board was announced. |
I was told the same thing. _________________ Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha). |

Off topic but curious...
I understand why OASYS is capitalised.
I understand why the Trinity or Triton, isn't.
However - I really, really don't understand why Kronos is KRONOS! Is it because KRONOS is an acronym and actually means something?

I was talking to my Sweetwater rep today and they have a tracking number from Korg (the shipment from Korg U.S.A. in NY to Indiana).
It shouldn't be too much longer before we receive tracking numbers. _________________ ** KORG Product Support Contacts **

Perhaps they wanted the name to sound BIG!
"Buy the new KRONOS" versus "Buy the new Kronos". _________________ ** KORG Product Support Contacts **

Very good point - and I understand that one too.
I also understand MicroKorg - capitalised in significant places... but no, I don't get the KRONOS thing

LOL! I guess that's a possible theory!
Am beginning to have a theory that internally, Korg employees got used to writing KRONOS because it does mean something (even as a work-in-progress title) - I wonder _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5,

From which online retailer? |
Not online. Local Guitar Center. GC also has a 15% additional off sale (up to $500 off) going through July 4. I had to pay tax, but I was still out the door at $3600. Those who don't have to pay tax online can get their 88 for $3300. _________________ Shigeru Kawai SK5
