I want to be able to first decide which sound engine I'm going to use when I start designing a sound from scratch, when I go to a empty Init program to build a sound from scratch I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
Shouldn't there be a drop down menu with all 9 engines and you choose one then start going at it? _________________ Don't get caught in the spot light & don't forget to rock the boat - just don't tip it over |

Try going to:
Common > Basic > Program Basic
There you have:
"EXi 1 Instrument Type" and "EXi 2 Instrument Type"
That will only be an option if you're looking in an EXi Bank. Because of the way Korg structured the OS, A bank can either be HD1 or EXi (i.e. you can use any of the other 8 engines). That assignment is set up somewhere in Global Mode. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,
