Isn't it taken from Greek mythology? He was a titan who castrated and killed his father, Oasys. |

Kronos is indeed someone from Greek Mythology (don't know Oasys for sure, but could be). _________________

I was joking about Oasys, though it is true (or as true as anything in Greek mythology) that he castrated and killed his father. |

Hmm castrated, well that doesn't add up because the one to actually lose any parts was the KRONOS....
-No on board CD/RW drive
-No physical pads
-No ADAT interface
-No balance MIC inputs
-No adjustable input screen
-No "real man's" joystick... Kronos" looks like the DW8000 joystick.
-No 8 individual analog outputs.
-No RH2 keybed. (personally think it's better than RH3 IMO)
-2 more USB ports (every bit helps)
-No Karo libraries yet (well I wanted to be nice.. |

If getting a variation on the OASYS for half the price makes me a sucker, I can live with that. |

who says it's an acronym? Korg's been using names from various mythological sources for years with the only apparent reason "they sound cool."
Trident
Delta
Trinity
Triton
Prophecy
Pandora
OASYS - okay that's an acronym.
KARMA - haha that's an acronym too.
KAOSS - well okay, but they were pretty up-front about what all these acronyms stood for. They haven't been so far with the KRONOS... _________________ Korg Kronos-61, 01/Wfd, SONAR Pro |
