I put the disks in my computer but nothing loaded. Are the files just document files or are their other useful software included?

You have to open the folders on the disk.

PC or Mac? There are versions for each.

Run the relevant file.

Also the Quick Start pamphlet is useful.

Disk 1 is just a data restore disk.
Disk 2 is user data, what you are looking for..

I'm experiencing the same thing. Disks not readable on a Win7 workstation. Mounted, but the format = UDF. Not Fat32, NTFS, etc....

Disk 2 is labelled as Accessory Disk 2. Should contain Part 2 of restore data, owner's manuals, factory preset sounds, external setups, USB drivers for Mac & Windows, Source Code.

You'd think it would be readable on Windows 7.

Any ideas?

Are you running W7 in 32 or 64 bit? I'm no expert on these matters but are the discs only readable in one or the other?

The workstation I'm sitting at right now is Windows 7 32 bit. My keyboard rig workstation is 2011 MacBook Pro. I haven't browsed the DVDs in my Mac yet.

*32 vs 64 bit wouldn't affect reading a DVD

I can browse both disks with a Mac Pro... they're both a straight forward UDF format, should be readable on any OS.

Disc 1 is the Linux Installer, Disc 2 is the remainder of the Install plus User Manuals/Windows and Mac USB Drivers.

Tron presets are in User Bank A on your Kronos... there's nothing more on the disks.

Just unziped one of the PCMBank tars... eventually led to a disc image that just seems to be one BIG sample data file - couldn't get any further than that, so no chance of unscrupulous idiots ripping off the samples, and selling them on ebay... Good!

I'm just beginning reading the manuals, so I ask for help with the question:

a) is there ANY additional EXi or patch content on the Kronos CDs which is not yet preloaded when I start the Kronos?

or b) the Kronos comes preloaded with ALL available EXi/Patch/Sample content

Just want to be sure I don't overlook anything.

I looked through the disc last weekend, and from my perspective, everything is already loaded to the Kronos.

Not quite. There are a few threads that talk about what's loaded and what's not. There are both samples in the expansion libraries and patches on the DVD that were left out of the Kronos' Preload.
