|
|
I just received my Kronos 73 today and I can't get the touchscreen to respond. <sigh>
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a reset key sequence like on the Trinity?
Update: It seems that sliders 1, 4, 5, 8, and master aren't working either.
Thanks,

And possibly a couple knobs unresponsive as well.
If I had to guess, possibly a connector cable is loose, but I don't want to risk the warranty to fix it myself.
Anyone else seen this?

Hi, About one weak ago i received my K88 from GC, and my touch screen was not responsive eather, i didn't test sliders, so don't know about that, and also main L/R outputs give very week signal, almost couldn't hear sound. so i went back to GC to exchange my Kronos, and the second unit had the same problem with the screen, so now im waiting for replasement... Im sorry to hear that, we both in the same boat here... return it as soon as you can. Good luck! _________________ Best regards

Okay, it's good to know I'm not the only one... (depending on how you look at it).
I'll call support tomorrow. First, tonight, I'm going to make a recording of the fan and measure SPLs. It will be useful information and then when I get a replacement, I can see if there is variation, too.
Thanks,

Interesting.
My screen is 100% unresponsive all of the time. Never has a press on it done anything.
Need to call support.

Update:
Called NovaMusik: It's the 2nd they've heard of with the non-working touchscreen. They've got a call into Korg and believe that possibly a hard reset may solve the problem, but not sure. Rep is going to get a hold of Korg and get the official word.
That makes at least 4 that I've heard of with this problem. Hopefully Korg has a straightforward solution... otherwise I get the impression I'll be waiting for a while for a replacement.

Its weird to see Korgs product with a bad build quality, but it seems that all of this QC problems is because Japan is devastated right now cuz of that tsunami, just imagin: major infrastracture is damaged right now, over 25.000 of ppl are dead, and ppl who survived they probably have some relatives or friends who are dead, so its just not the best time for them to do their best at work, home, etc... hope that Japan will recover soon. BTW, im still waiting for my K88 replasement too, hopefully next week i will receive it:) good luck for you too Maphill _________________ Best regards

I hate to say this but last night, while I was exploring the Kronos 61's Disk pages, the same thing happened. While I was importing samples from an external USB drive, the screen response became very sluggish then completely locked me out, no beep, no response from the Tone Adjust controls, nada.
Luckily, a reboot did the trick but this is very worrying and I've not attempted to import anything else... I daren't _________________ Synth DIY Projects |

Same here, screen freeze, can't make selections, screen scrolls on it's own in disk mode, no beeps and does not hold a calibration.
Very erratic from day to day. It's quite possible that a full reinstall may be a fix, but not on a week and a half $3K board.
Thanks to Korg and Sweetwater, replacement on it's way. They were very understanding and handled the problem very professionally.
Thank you! _________________ Lou |

Not good for sure!!
So now I am wondering what kind of problem this one is>> Hardware or software? And do all Kronos have .. or will have... the same problem in time when using disk mode..or is this just a few with the isolated problem? SSD Problem etc?? And since the keyboards are already so backordered getting a replacement seems their is going to be a long wait for you!!
I just got Assault so I am going to play around with my copy this weekend and hope I dont have problems.. |

Fortunately, Sweetwater just received a new shipment of 61s. Should have mine Saturday/Monday.
What was disturbing is that my problems were very erratic. Ok today, this afternoon flaky. _________________ Lou |
