Hello all, l Just thought l had better let all the Aussies know that the korg kronos 73 and 88 have arrived.
l received a telephone call this afternoon and l was told that my Korg Kronos 88 was waiting for me so l drove down to Melbourne to pick it up (6 Hour round trip). So l have just got back to my place and l thought l should let everyone know, Oh by the way there is still a Korg Kronos 73 available at : KCs Keyboard corner in Boronia Victoria Ph 03-97610003, and ask for Craig and tell him Robert sent you. Now lm going to unpack My Korg Kronos and stay up most of the night.

Cheers

Robert

$3799AUD is a good price to pay for the 88 in Oz considering how much we get ripped off here when it comes to music equipment! I wonder how much a 61 will cost? I heard that the retail price for a 61 was going to be $4999 which is ludicrous and they wouldn't sell many at that price considering you can buy then for $2500AUD in the states.

Best price I've seen on the 61 in Australia is about $3199 from memory.

Pretty good prices really considering Australian retailers history of ripping everyone off. I think they;ve finally woken up and realise if they overcharge people will import.

The price is the same as sweatwaters price in the USA and both KCs Keyboard Corner in Borina Victoria and Turramurra Music in NSW are both doing this price. l am really grateful that they are giving us there Absolute best prices so there is no need to import and we can support our own local Music Stores and l thank them for this.

Cheers

Robert

I've seen Kronos 61 selling via Ebay (new) for $2450US (about $2350AUD). By the time you pay the 10%GST and the shipping cost, that more or less brings it up to $3100AUD so I guess that is a great price, considering an M1 retailed for $3695 back in 1988! The 88 for $3799AUD is a great price.

I agree that I would MUCH RATHER support our local shops and with these prices, there's no way i'd consider importing from the states. Perhaps the shops and distributors in Oz are finally beginning to smell the cheese that there's a lot of newer keyboards being used in Australia but their shop showrooms are still full of keyboards with rip off price tags!!!! LOL. Well it's about time that the industry here woke up to itself especially now with the AUD dollar at an all time high.

Lets support local...... only if they don't blatantly rip us off! If they do, then there's plenty of cheaper purchasing options overseas.

I played the 61 today at turramurra. It is so awesome. I've been watching YouTube vids for months now. To see and hear it in the flesh was just great. Drum track- love it. The grooves are fantastic. Very realistic. The piano and Rhodes sounds just blew me away. Late august until the 88's arrive. Grrr!
