Hi,
I have a chance to get a microsampler, but I am wondering if I can use the keyboard to play notes in Reaktor and Abes' LIVE?....
Can you quickly switch midi channels?
Can you "integrate" microsampler into your system?
I want to "replace" my Edirol PCR-300 keyboards with microsampler, and use BCR2k as a MIDI controller
I believe that I can't use microsampler as a midi controller, but I would like to use the keys in other software....

Any other info would be greatly appreciated...
TIA

Yes.

Yes. The microSAMPLER operates on two MIDI channels (one while in KEYBOARD mode, another while in SAMPLE mode) and these channels can easily be changed in the GLOBAL menus.

That's really up to you and how you produce music. Give an example of what you'd like to use it for.

Using the keys to play other devices is using it as a MIDI controller. If you mean using knobs, faders and buttons to control things, microSAMPLE only has two knobs which send out CC MIDI data. I think the START and STOP buttons on the sequencer also send out CC data.

hi there,
I was looking for mini midi keyboard recently an figured my microSampler would be the ideal solution.
I would like to use with other hardwares synths e.g. my radias rack.
now, is it possible to assign the two knobs (I assume these are the effect knobs?) as modulation and pitch wheel equivalents?
that would be quite awsome in my book Very Happy

The MS knobs transmit only fixed midiCC ,CC#12 and CC#13.So ,unless the Radias offers a modulation matrix where you can assign a midi CC to pitch or modulation ,you need a computer and some free plugins such as

I'm pretty sure the Radias will allow you to assign CC numbers to most of the parameters. I have the smaller R3 and it allows me to do it.

yes indeed. there's the patch section which one can use to assign modulations to various sources (lfo, mod wheel etc)

I guess that answers it. the mS is a pretty nifty studio tool. maybe too much underrated though. Rolling Eyes
