Hi everybody
I found this youtube and i wonder ,
whether this is the famous "Hendrix" sound on the legendary 93 WD.
How do you like that ?
I would soo much want to transport this sound to the WD-X (if possible)and publish it here.
Is there somebody out there , who can give me the sound parameters ,
read out from a remote control ?
So , lucky 93 Wavedrum owners : get up , be social ,this is a birthday present to everybody

The basis for the sound in that video clips seems to be made up of a melodic, electric bass-type sound that the current Wavedrum doesn't include.
HOWEVER...!
The Wavedrum Mini DOES include a program that sounds almost identical to that. It is listed as Program# 58 - Bass SEQ, under the "Synth Bass" category. The Mini also has some built-in effects, so when you apply one of the flanger or overdrive/distortion filters, you get something similar to the sound at the beginning of that video.
Obviously though, Will Calhoun is using a pedal to control the effects in that performance.
Those electric bass sounds are something that I really wish had been included with all versions of the Wavedrum.
I'm still not sure if that is the "Hendrix" sound you were asking about though. I will try to look into this and hopefully come up with an answer! |

thanx for your help
that makes the MINI more interesting for me..
I also have a suspicious candidate for the "Hendrix" sound
from the Original 1993 (94?) manual
No30
This algorithm produces the sound of
an imaginary string instrument with two
strings located at the left and right of
the stereo image. By pressing the head
you can produce a large drop in pitch,
with an effect somewhat like pressing
the tremolo arm on an electric guitar. If
you press even harder, a sound similar
to electric guitar feedback will be
produced.
I think there are even some more very interesting sounds to be transported |
