It's like saying "DAD...MOM'S ON THE PHONE!!!!" when the proper sentence should be, "DAD...MOM'S ON THE TELEPHONE!!!!"

Or even "DAD...MUM'S ON THE TELEPHONE!!!!", if you're not american Wink

Even then, both versions stem from a shortening of 'Mother'.

The term "Eh" at the end of a sentence, is very VERY English - used as a confirmation as in "isn't it?"

Cold whether, eh?

Very Happy

Actually while "meh" is not an Italian word, the Italian phrase for "so-so" is mezza-mezza.

Growing up in an Italian home were it was mandatory that all the kids learn Italian, we would hear the Italian phrase shortened to "meh" as is "Angelo, come stai?" and Angelo would reply, "Meh."

Ahimsa (definitely NOT an Italian word Wink),

Eh ( /ˈeɪ/ or /ˈɛ/) is a spoken interjection in English, Armenian, Japanese, French, Italian, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan that is similar in meaning to "Excuse me," "Please repeat that" or "huh?" It is also commonly used as a method for inciting an answer, as in "It's nice here, eh?" It is occasionally used to express indifference, in a similar way to "meh". In North America, it is most commonly associated with Canada.

As you will see....eh and meh are similar by definition and express indifference. So there......

Ozy was banned, in part, for what some people, esp. Akos Janos, thought was inappropriate sexual references in a public forum. He was pretty rude and critical sometimes too.

The double whammy is that Akos, not seeing any results to his complaining about Ozy, resigned from this forum in protest, which I'm guessing happened more or less at the same time as Sharp banned him. So both of them are gone.

I enjoyed both of them- sorry to see them go. But Ozy could be pretty harsh at times. I personally wasn't sure why the joking sexual references was that big of a deal- pretty mild stuff compared to whats out there, and its not like a ton of kids are perusing the Kronos section. Oh well-

I was not sad to see Ozzy go. I think he was abusive and sent me messages that were incredibly irritating while saying something else entirely in the forum.

I didn't mind ozy so much but he could be an ass at times, he also had some gret opionos and info at times. I guess there was a reference to teenage girls or younger that was inaporpriate and he stepped over the line with a PM or two going off on people. You know that is just wrong to take a board and the opinions there to that extreme. Sometimes you just have to let things go.

Ozy could be witty, but he also obviously stepped over borders of quite bad taste and behavior more than once IMO. From my view he really misused this board, by taking constant, abundant cheap chatter and compulsive joking, just for the sake of cheap chatter, over the top. I never wish anyone to be banned, and wish Ozy all the best, but the clash seemed inevitable.

The one I am missing a lot is Akos.
Perhaps we could contact Akos to come back.

Dear Jim,

Thank you, it's an honour, especially from you. I'm still reading occasionally but won't post, I'm playing and writing music instead.

I saved some of your posts, they were very helpful. Thank you.

Best regards,
Akos

Wow , what exactly did Ozy say because I completely missed this ?

Everyone here knows Akos , he was probably the most level headed here
so for Akoos to leave over something , it must have been pretty bad .

The reason I ask is because I see Ozy on other forums from time to time and don't want to communicate with him if he said something really crazy .

So what did he say ?

I am also wondering about Acos, what happened? I mean, he wasnt in that
level of being offensive, iritating or annoying...
