Encouraged by an ad describing the Polysix being mapped to the control surface, I set out to make myself a little easy to use analog synthesizer using AL-1.

I LOVE the fact that you can easily map parameters to the control surface /Tone Adj. screen! I got myself a little analog with my most used parameters right there. I set up a generic envelope and use the control surface to alter it. I setup the usual osc wave, tuning (what happened to octave settings Korg?) and sync etc...

Nice!

Now, I can dial this program up and take leads or do synth pads etc... all on the fly like my old analogs. Not only that, I love the poly/legato settings which allow me to solo and also do polyphonic stuff on the fly.

I should put the filter type on screen, that way I can switch from Oberheim to Moog filters too!

This is what I wanted my PC3 to do, but it doesn't have enough knobs!!!!!!

Hey, sounds great.

Would be nice if you could post an example patch with your controller settings.

Aron,

This is GREAT!!! When you did this, did you have a specific classic analog in mind in terms of knobs/sliders? In other words, what guided you regarding what to assign to where?

Ahimsa,
Vlad

I just thought of my Pro One. When I solo with it, what knobs do I fiddle with the most? I want to share it. Let me read the manual and figure out how to export the .pcg.

I was just playing it. It's pretty fun. Could be improved, but really fun for now.

Poser_P does it with BCR2000. That's more than enough knobs, I'd say Wink

OK, here it is. It's really simple. You guys could do it yourself in 5 minutes. That's the beauty of the Kronos!

Demo sample here:

Patch bank here. It's #32. Sorry about the FM patches at the beginning, I was trying the FM import.

I don't want to carry another box. I have MIDI controllers too but I want it in one board.

Sounds like pure fun, and quite analog really, thanks!
Will play around with it tomorrow.

And yes, it's great to have enough controllers directly at your hands with something as powerful as the Kronos!

That was a great demo! I loved how sliding the pitch of one of the oscillators while the other stays constant adds a lot of "pizazz" to the phrase. Thanks for sharing Smile

Very cool sounding - thanks for sharing! I'm away from the Kronos for 2 days, but I'll load this up right away this weekend!

Thanks again!

Endless rotaries win over regular knobs. IMHO.

I absolutely love the way you can just pick your parameters so easily from one screen. There's no need to go through different screen and such. Just one place, press and choose your parameter. THANK YOU KORG!!!!!!!

Now I wish that you could choose a default screen per program. So if I was last on the control screen, then it would come up when I choose that program.

I think I am going to load up a bunch of IFX, then switch them on/off with the control surface. That will be very, very cool! This is such a great keyboard for creating sounds!!!! I will post the program when I am done.
