Welcome!
This is 2 oscillators - ONE layer of a program (one EXi).
This is just the tip of iceberg with the MS-20 synth. To me this is insane. I cannot wait to solo with this sound live. It is .... insane .....

Ron,
That's the thing... Only reverb and delay! The rest is 2 oscillators of ms-20! _________________ Korg Kronos, RD-88, Yamaha VL1, Deep Mind 6, Korg Kross, author of unrealBook for iPad. |

Aron, this just sounds as good, as anyone wanting a gritty, VERY analog sounding VA could wish.
After all I heard so far, the JP-80 Oscillators and filters sound nearly lame in comparison. They may be good for some pads and synth brass made fat by layering, but as far as I can judge from the available demos, they are competely missing the grit and the punch (not speaking of the MUCH better resonsance filtering) of the Kronos VAs! I certainly will give the JP-80 a close listen in the store not to be unfair, but I doubt that this impression will change much with good headphones on directly at the instrument. |

I haven't heard any other synth sound this insane right out of the box. This is the MS-20 sync sound that I was talking about. I tweaked it but extremely little - just the effects and maybe a couple of more things, but the changes are minor; so it's a preset.
I think it sounds a lot more insane than the distortion pedal I designed:
Shaka Express Distortion
Of course I would be glad to share the program if anyone thinks they need it. _________________ Korg Kronos, RD-88, Yamaha VL1, Deep Mind 6, Korg Kross, author of unrealBook for iPad. |

Need it!
Although the MS-20 has a completely other character than a Minimoog, the oscilator sync reminded me a lot of good old Jan Hammer shredding
Curious to see where you put the controller for the oscillator sync.
P.S. That distortion pedal sounds great. Is that you playing?
(Edit: I should add: both pedal and playing sound fine!)

OK I will post it, but guess what? That's not oscillator sync. I _know_ it sounds like it, but it's the High Pass Filter on the MS-20! I know.... incredible!!!!!!
All that sweeping sounds are either the Joystick or the high pass and low pass. This is one incredible mono synth. I have no other words except it is an insane synthesizer.
I played this sound for my friend and then we went to the Jupiter 80..... Maybe that's what did in the Jupiter in front of him.
- oh yeah sorry about the guitar playing - to be fair it was a few years back and I had only been playing for a few years. I was trying to demo the pedal more than anything else. That's a hi-gain pedal I designed along with a cabinet simulator that my friend posted. _________________ Korg Kronos, RD-88, Yamaha VL1, Deep Mind 6, Korg Kross, author of unrealBook for iPad. |
