Suggest you look through the multisamples and start building your own sound!
On the OASYS such samples are there so I would think many if not all are there on the Kronos too.
Also, remember to experiment with SW1 and SW2 on your string sounds - again on the OASYS, some strings sounds play pizz when one or other switch is pressed. _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

Cello is right about this. There are quite a few patches that you can switch to pizz and back by using SW1 on Kronos.
I also want to thank you OASYS owners for making OUR journey so much easier.
*Deep bow to ya!!

Just to let everybody know,
staccato heaven is right there,
after diggin' a little I found it is the SYNTHPD2 waveform,
it's necessary to assign that in a hd-1 program,
setting some adsr and effect, and that's all.
For koto-trem, for now I found a Mandolin-Tremolo waveform
that's quite similar. |

Great patch by Roland. They continued this patch on their XP series called something like D50 Heaven.
I'd like to hear a good replication of it on the Kronos too. _________________

Eric Persing (now Spectrasonics) did that one. Amazing sound design. |

Sure, he is a talented sound designer : Staccato Heaven.
He also made the Fantasia patch and the infamous Digital Natives Dance.

I have the samples for the Staccato Heaven sampled from the D50. It's about 6 Mb in size, C and G key samples. I don't have a multisample but they are looped. Send me a PM and I'll send it to you. Of course, you have to make a program, but that shouldn't be a difficult task. I think it will sound better than any emulation.
I have it for a long time and I don't even know where I get it from or if I even sampled it by myself. However, I can send it to you. Feel free to share. |

I don't have the Kronos so I have no clue about how it sounds. You are the one asking for those sounds. If you mean just programs using the internal waveforms, I can't help you on this. But if nothing satisfies you from the stock internal sounds, in that case I can give you the samples from the original keyboard. |

I uploaded that sound a while back.
Here's the link.....

Can't remember what the quality is like, but hey.... it's worth trying anyway.

Thanks, thast better than internal wave,
which is similar but not really staccato heaven.
Now I wonder how can kronos load that samples at startup,
or automatically when I recall the program HD-1 in which I assigned
the multisample...
I found no way to put the sample in ROM,
I was only able to load in ram, but when I turn off
kronos, ram content obviously get lost..
Is there a way to do this,
without messing with factory settings ? |

It should be the same since it's nothing more than a direct conversion from a D50 sample.

Isn't that the Pizzagogo preset? |
