I got EXs12 on this sale and feel strange about octave tone.
especially D3-D4-D5, F#4-F#5

Is there known issue or my ears strange?

Hi there,

As you've discovered, there are pitch discrepancies in Korg's Austrian grand. Which is a real shame, as the recorded instrument sounds beautiful. I analyzed it around last year and found that the main problem is in the velocity layers. The pitch was not normalized from one velocity layer to the next, so as soon as you play simultaneous notes from different velocity layers (which can of course easily happen), you end up with this undesired Yamaha CP-80 cheap chorus effect that kills the Bösendorfer piano sound. Very sad.

I didn't buy it for that reason. Some fixes could be done in combi mode and with lots of free time I would know how to fix the whole thing using the Kronos resampling option, but for this Korg would have to offer their Austrian Grand for free as the problem lies in the EXS itself.

I am sure Korg could correct this easily in a fixed version since they have the original sampling data. Unfortunately it seems it is unlikely to happen.

Thank you for your reply.
I understood. It's very bad sad thing... Crying or Very sad

Now the pitch is back to normal.
I don't know what setting it is, but it's not reproducing, so I want to take this post down for now.
I'm sorry KORG.
