|
|
A guy on eBay just told me to check the fine print for Kronos. He said that the mentioned modules (MS-20EX, PolysixEX, and MOD-7 ) are only DEMOS until you pay for them. They are not included like most people think.
He said he just got a letter from Korg saying that they are charging people for those modules for their Kronos...
Is this true? It doesn't make much sense.
He's selling a loaded Oasys, and I was talking to him about how much better of a deal the Kronos is vs what he's charging for the Oasys... he went on to tell me that the Kronos does not include all those 9 engines from the start (as fully functioning products...ONLY DEMOS)
Is this true?!?!?!?!? _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

Well maybe he was confused. This was certainly the case for the OASYS.
I'd like to hear the clarification on this too now. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

As an Oasys owner myself,Your far better off buying a new Kronos for the money a 61 key will probably set you back a just little bit more than a secondhand Oasys, apart from difference in build Quality your getting a better buy with Kronos and a full warranty.
Sounds like after you informed him of the better option of the Kronos he's trying to fob you off...hoping you may buy his Oasys any Oasys owner is aware of the values decreasing to the Oasys thanks to the presence of the Kronos..
Those engines needed an authorisation code after a fee(which korg are now offering for free)inside Oasys.
I can't see Korg trying to charge Kronos owners for this, given they are already in full mode on the Kronos anyway
Sounds a little Hokey to me |

Your eBay seller is LYING to try to convince you to buy his OASYS.
On the OASYS, those EXis you mentioned were optional instruments. Coming soon, those will be unlocked for OASYS owners for free.
With the Kronos, there may be FUTURE expansions that can be purchased, but everything that is mentioned in the Kronos literature comes standard on the Kronos -- i.e. the nine engines in the Kronos do not need to be unlocked, they are part of the product. _________________ ** KORG Product Support Contacts **
