I just got a mail from Oostendorp Muziek, where I checked out and ordered the Kronos 88. They're calling weekly to the importer (Voerman) and wanted to give me an update on the order.

They said it's most likely going to be October/November and even that is unsure. For the Dutch people amongst us, they said "met een slag om de arm".

Sad

They mail didn't mention anything about Kronos 61, 73 or 88 specifically though, so possibly the 61s might be earlier. Oostendorp said (which is of course in their own interest, but I believe it's reasonable) that they're one of the biggest keyboard/synth stores and thus believe they will be among the first shops to get any serious numbers of them.

As explained before, shops are not allowed to sell them in the Netherlands because they can/will loose their Korg (Kronos) license. They are only for advertisement/demoing.

But I guess the shops also don't know when they will be available in normal numbers (or even in small numbers).

Bax shop also had their Kronos 61, 73, 88 versions delayed for another 9 weeks last week.

Voerman (importer in the Netherlands) should be more clear about this, even if they do not know it, they should be honest about it.

I know they're not allowed to sell them yet - but when I ordered mine, they said "end of August/beginning of September hopefully". Now it's already October/November and they don't even feel they can promise that much Sad

I know Holland is relatively small but it seems like quite a large discrepancy to have almost 6 months between availability in the US and here. Especially since Holland has had a unique trade relationship with Japan for over four hundred years now! Wink
Where's the love?!

Yes, we are all in the same boat Sad

i've preordered a long time ago and also heared about the october date.
But since the previous delivery date is delayed again i really doubt that the october / november date will be the new delivery date. Since no one can give a hard date it could be easely be december or even worse next year, before the importer voerman is delivering the ordered kronosses to the stores.

This whole distribution mess is one big disappointment for customers.

it makes no sense to put demo models in stores at this moment since they can't deliver anyway.

Glad it takes a long of time ... gives me more time for my app.

No just kidding, I'm really sorry for all those people really wanting it now and have already preordered.

This shop says "direct leverbaar" on a 61 model.

I have earlier seen a shop saying 'direct leverbaar' but after mailing them they changed it into 'soon' (which actually means 'unknown').
