Hi! I just thought there might be some interest for a Kronos in action... The Kronos does synth brass, fm bells in the 2nd verse and the entire solo, which is played from a Kurzweil PC361 toggling zones on and off. The PC3 also triggers 2 riffs (playing Kronos sounds); the bells in the solo and the bells before the synth brass in verse 3.
The B3 is my XK3c thru Ventilator, and all other sounds (piano, acoustic brass) are Yamaha Motif ES. I think you all know the song.

This piano (from around 3 minutes on) is cutting through without any problems. Was that a factory preset (Japanese Grand?) or an EQed version? _________________ Kronos 73 - Moog Voyager RME - Moog LP TE - Behringer Model D - Prophet 6 - Roland Jupiter Xm - Rhodes Stage 73 Mk I - Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - Roland TR-6s - Cubase 12 Pro + Groove Agent 5 |

Embarassingly enough (if you want to see it that way), the piano is from a Motif, I think, at least that's what's stated by the OP. |

Does not embarass me: what works, works.
Waiting for the first video with a Kronos piano cutting through a mix. _________________ Kronos 73 - Moog Voyager RME - Moog LP TE - Behringer Model D - Prophet 6 - Roland Jupiter Xm - Rhodes Stage 73 Mk I - Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - Roland TR-6s - Cubase 12 Pro + Groove Agent 5 |

Yup, that's a Motif piano. He runs both of his synths thru a stereo tube pre, not sure which one, and it really helps the sound. Geir is a FANTASTIC singer, he has actually performed with Toto... Really, really good. And a great guy! That's quite a combination these days... _________________ Kronos in the house..! |

Hahahaha 1:33 made me laugh! You guys cracked me up with the pitch bend instead of the poly portamento. You guys should have done a dual pitchbend harmony line copping the original! Anyway, great playing and tell your guitarist, GOOD JOB!
