The link I included takes you to a post pointing to the TR rack service manual download, just in case you have missed it. There would be no need to buy on ebay - you can donate at the download site instead, if you like... Smile

Yes, I saw the Service Manual, thanks!
I also found the factory default reset key combination on serval sites, including this:
http://epd.berklee.edu/index.php/Facilities/Facilities-|-Overview/equipment-resets.html

It should reset by holding [A4] and [Edit] and turn it on.
But mine is still frozen, the factory reset mode doesn't help my TR-Rack. :/
Can we conclude anything from that? Maybe exclude some areas that good be the fault? Could it be a hardware fault?

Thanks for the reset link!

Most likely it is, but I cannot be sure as I don't know the the inner working of the machine... Sorry.
Based on the schematic you might be able to analyse what is happening on the busses and conclude some potential culprits from that, but it takes some serious kit and patience - I guess you know the drill. Wink

Hi,

I was having problems with my (newly purchased) TR-Rack and I reset it before reading the warning about the process erasing the machine entirely. This is totally on me; I should have continued reading. I thought I'd be restoring factory defaults and erasing the previous owner's presets.

I'm absolutely sick to my stomach about this. The machine is now useless. If anyone has the time and goodwill, I would love to Venmo/Paypal any one who can upload their backup to Dropbox or a similar site. I could download the backup to an SD card and reload my machine. Thanks for any consideration or recommendations.

Nick

Hi Nick,

You should be able to restore the preload sounds like this:

Hopefully it will work for you.
