Sorry if my question seems stupid, but I'm just wondering: why are those EXs not called "Steinway D", "Yamaha C(7?)" and "Bösendorfer (Imperial?) ", respectively?

Korg wants to avoid any copyright issues. The idea is a brand has value, and if Korg used these brand names without permission, they could be using those names to sell their product.

Some companies will use the real names (like Line 6 and their modeling guitars), but they have to be very careful to put disclaimers in anything they create that references actual brand names. However, the actual preset guitar model names are generic, e.g. "T-model" (based on the Fender Telecaster) or "Lester" (based on Les Paul guitars).

The topic of this thread is SGX Pianos. Based on where this thread is going, is G really the proper middle letter of SGX ?? Rolling Eyes

Either way... both an informative and entertaining thread. Amazing how the unique way of describing how I felt about Bosendorfer pianos becoming available on the Kronos led to this. I'm liking it!! Laughing

She may not be as good as Jordan but then again, she's cuter Smile

And if she took her Kronos out on a date, what beautiful music we'd make...

At some point, I got distracted from those great legs and noticed that she's switching setlist choices with some sort of foot pedal. Anyone have a clue what pedal she's using (and if yes... how do you set up something like that)?

You can use any pedal in the switch jack. Next you go in GLOBAL mode, in the controllers section, you select "Program Up" for the switch pedal.

One of these days I'm going to work on that song...

today is not that day.

I do wonder how long it takes someone to learn that song.

BOSS FS-5U to be more specific aswell. I have a love/hate relastion with that pedal. It feel's too much like a sponge (if that even makes sense)... the button itself, like the M3 buttons compared to the Kronos button, it really does not give you a "response/click" when you press it down. And I feel like the button itself is a tad bit too small (works fine with shoes, but with socks its harder to press it) so sometimes I just use a regular sustain pedal.
But otherwise it does it job and it's sturdy and has a replaceable cable. Not sure if there are any real competitors to that pedal that might be better?

... oh and ye, what was this topic about again?

I have the FS-5U as well, and I agree: it's too soft, it doesn't feel right.
