39 seconds for 280 Stereo Samples which is 560 in Korgs Language
in the size of 202MB Loaded in exactly 39 secdonds...i just measured.

Something sounds very wrong with those figures. That works out at about 5MB/s.

It was a while back I timed my OASYS, but I believe it was pushing well over 15MB/s.

I dont know why, i timed it with a TimeStopper. I was thinking it should be faster.
Almost each KSF is around 1MB, there is over 260 of them, very few Mono.

Wow! My set takes longer on the Kronos. Do you have a special edition Kronos that we do not know about?

Karim, this is slow, thats the point we are making, it should be even faster,
200MB should be less then 39 seconds.

Tried again now, Saving to USB Stick sucks, it takes minutes to Save.
Loading from USB of 172MB is almost the same, around 38-39 seconds.
Karim, you might be Loading from USB, thats why its slow.

James, i dont understand, a Set of 172MB...when split into 2 Sets
i get a Set of 120MB and Set of 85MB...and no, there is no copies
of one into the other, this is weird, the files are not doubled anywhere.
I was testing the other day too, the bigger the Sets Kronos compresses them.
I dont know what the hell is going on. So...the same Set of 172MB when split
becomes around 205MB...for what reason? I thought when split if one was
85MB the other should be 90 or less.

I takes me more than 3 minutes to load the whole Kronos ASSAULT samples.

That's very strange. Suddenly the Motif with it's slow writing flash memory isn't looking so bad. If 172MB takes so long, what will happen with something like the Karo string library? Especially when loading at boot... I don't mind a 2 minute boot but 10 minutes would get old quite fast.

The SSD should be faster than this, by a lot. I hope the cpu isn't the bottleneck... And hopefully OS 1.5 makes a difference.
