I think he means it actually controls an analog op amp for volume. It's not a digital volume control

...Think of the plus side though; if you have a knob rather than a slider to control the volume, there's less chance of it being accidentally knocked during a performance...

This is true, the only problem I've had with using the knob is that you have to be careful not to catch the vector joystick when reaching for it....

Does anybody know if it can be adjusted for small changes?
I regularly use it for volume changes (fade in/out), because it's more precise with a slider/hand than by foot.
