One Year from Today:

https://soundcloud.com/user-898236994/sets/chill

One Year from Today is Song#1 on my 11 song "Chill " Playlist.

Many of my listeners prefer kickback, easy to listen to type songs.

Which is what I call " chill ".

Instruments are 100% Kronos

Hope you like !

Greg

Very nice! Uplifting. Captain of your soul, maintain a right and steady path, even in stormy seas. I hear the JX voices starting at 3:00 - the Kronos equivalent thereof - a signature sound in the late 80's / early '90's. A featured patch on the Roland JX-10 I played often!

Cool you enjoyed it, Brother !

Very good ear on the JX type voices. On Kronos, its a vocal program, that pokes in at 3:00.

A trivia question- can you [ or anyone ] identify the 'speaker ' at :44 is asserting " you are the master of your fate, the captain of your soul " ?

I know it's from the poem Invictus, but I can't quite place the voice!

wow, knowledge of Victorian poetry, from 1875. Impressed.

Anyway, the voice is Oprah , she quoted the poet during a speech.

Ms Melancholy is my new composition.

An emotional 4 minute song with
a soaring female vocal. It is moody and reflects the angst of our times.

Its ok to scream at the world as my female vocalist does.
Click on the playlist link [ or copy/paste] titled Find a Silver Lining:

Ms Melancholy is song #1 .

Space on Earth is song #2 . Hope you like both !

Regards

Anybody into funk/fusion? Not looking for praise (Not that I'd even get any) just what would make it better. Enjoy and stay safe everyone.

Hi, Kevin, could you please tell us : are all sounds coming from your Kronos ?
Did you use the internal Seq or a DAW ?
Did you use the internal effects only or some VSTs ?

Hey Liviou2004: The pad sound in the beginning and in the middle of the piece along with the Rudess-Like leads is all Kronos. Sequencing and everything else is Logic Pro. Hope you enjoyed.

Did not make SW's top 8 but just the same, I had a lot of fun creating my music with his vocal stems:

My Meta Personal Shopper is song #1 on my Playlist
[ that was my funky upbeat retro version for his contest]

Song #2 is Ms Melancholy on my Playlist

All Kronos All the Time

This is my version of "Simple Song" from Leonard Bernstein's "Mass."

All I had was a piano reduction, so I did the orchestral arrangements by ear based on the original cast recording from around 1971.

Other than my voice, everything is KRONOS.

I definitely can't sing this like I could when I was 20 in 1994. I was so upset when I didn't get this solo in college Smile

I'm clearly straining toward the end!
