Hi all!
New to the Kronos after getting on board a couple of months ago.
A steep learning curve but lots of sound possibilities.
Have put together a few patches for live covers, on my youtube channel below: Feedback welcome!
2 Bridges is a message song- its a metaphor for all couples who spend years/decades progressing through life, raising children,
meeting the challenges in life, etc. They work together, tirelessly, patiently, unselfishly.
This is my tribute to them as they work together, building 2 bridges that are strong and cross every passage in life.
The song is 100% original. I created/recorded every part, start to finish. 100% Kronos.
Its my standard ‘hot ‘ recording. Has lots of bass, treble, volume. Keep your device at a moderate volume
to start.
I think the instrumental/song is a mix of new age, light jazz, soft rock, etc.
my latest original, an acoustic piano instrumental embellished/supported by other Kronos instruments.
Song has no drums or percussion.
Hope you enjoy this moody and haunting piano song. 7 minutes. 100% Kronos _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Nice Greg sounds like you put alot of time in preparing the sounds and
arrangement. The dark piano fits the scene that you were portraying.
Thanks, Benny. I was just discussing with a friend, the various piano programs that I tracked in my song. The different sounds are just as important as the chord and/or melody played.
The sounds have to work in the mix. It does take time, and I experiment until I find something. _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

Hi, good music, do you played guitars and drums from Kronos? (or real guitars, drums)

Thanks krossuser4!
I've tried to use the sequencer and drums in the Kronos a few times, but the lack of piano roll makes it hard. Step sequencing and single note midi edit is less efficient for me. I already had EZ Drummer for a year or two prior to getting the Kronos, so that combined with a DAW was well established before I started recording with the Kronos.
The guitars is an actual Ibanez guitar plugged into a Blackstar Amp that I've mic'ed up. And then quad tracked for all the high-gain riffs. Though in this tune it is just going clean through the Kronos, I have used the IFX section on the Kronos on other songs. Rotary speaker, pitch shift modulation for instance. And the cabinet simulations of course. Those are a great way to change up the guitar sound a bit :) Delays and reverb I always add during mixing.
Similar with the bass. I have an ESP bass that goes into IFX and then use various effects. Limiter and compression to get levels stable and good and then bass cab simulation. I've set up a PROG with one cab/EQ assigned to each direction on the vector joystick, which makes it quick and easy to try and pick "sound".
So despite the song being quite guitar heavy, the Kronos plays a huge part in getting it done :) _________________ Gear: Korg Kronos 2 73, Arturia Microbrute & MiniBrute 2, Moog Mother-32, Ibanez RG320DXFM Guitar, ESP Viper 254FM Bass, Blackstar HT-1

Making use of the sampler, then turning that into a program, and putting into pppr pattern switches for gollums voice, pppr pattern for the drum variations.
