Was poking around in my local Guitar Center today and saw that they had an 88 key Kronos. Above it was an SV-1 so I decided to do a comparison being that both were at hand. When I got to the Kronos I noticed the "RH3" sticker on the highest note, just like the ones the SV-1 is shipped with, but this was a longer sticker. Same logo but the text read "RH3 keybed made in Japan". Anyone know anything about that? With all the problems reported on the RH3 keys, I wonder if Korg started using a different manufacturer. If so, maybe the newer SV -1's coming off the line will have the "made in Japan" keybed? It did feel a bit diffrerent. Not as much bounce to the keys as on the original. I personally prefer a bit of bounce back, but if the newer RH3 is more reliable without the clicking and other issues, I'm all for it. Just curious to know if anyone had any info on it. |

Read this thread: Different versions of RH3 for Kronos 88
However, sometimes I get cutoff notes, specially on D2 and E2... _________________ Current gear: Access Virus TI2 Whiteout Keyboard (111/150), Access Virus TI2 Polar DarkStar Special Edition, Gibson Custom Lite 2013, Roland MV-8800 |
