I'm not impatient for the OS update. Korg knows best.

Rather, I'm tired of waiting for a Kronos. So, should I order one now with 2 GB of RAM?

I find it highly unlikely that Korg will decide to install an additional 2 GB of sample RAM, so I would not wait for the update and just buy now.. I am waiting myself for my K73, but that's because it's not available (still!) in The Netherlands. I guess I'll have mine in about 2 months, but it's guessing..

Probably the extra RAM will be a sort of 'upgrade package' ... of course it would save time to add it before delivery, but at the same time you can order it now and let the extra RAM added later.

Kronos OS 1.5 will be available from late November 2011. KORG need a bit of time to finish it.

Thanks.

I would want the dealer to install the extra RAM. So I'll ask.

2 months! That's cruel Sad

In order not to void the warranty, aren't we supposed to have an authorized dealer install the extra RAM?

On the Oasys Korg advised the type of ram and gave instructions for those who feel comfortable in how to install RAM. I expect that they will do that again, and probably the 1.5 update should be done prior to the installation of the ram also I think. Not 100% sure but it being ordinary ram available commercially, should be the way it goes

It might be, but would be a bit strange, because you can add RAM into a computer too without voiding warranty.

It should be commercial RAM, since people have already tried it. It would be strange if Korg would make their own RAM or suddenly would need a strange type of RAM.

probably the 1.5 update will make sure you can use 4 GB iso 3.25 GB.

Hey Zengomi! You know you want one! Just go for it. You won't regret it.

I think that Korg is just making certain that ther are absolutely no bugs at all in the O.S. update. They wouldn't want all of us upset now would they.

Korg should just release it as is. Its already been confirmed that there are bugs that won't be fixed in OS 1.5. And it just a reality that adding improvements to an OS can add new bugs.

I hope they will test it well enough there will not be obvious bugs. Otherwise everybody starts complaining why they delivered so fast.

I rather wait a few weeks more for a better product.
