My six week old Kronos 61 had a major problem. I selected a combi and the chords started to stack on top of each other. The sound became very muddy and out of tune. I pressed the Karma button and the drum track button and the combi continued to play. It would not shut off. I selected another combi using the value dial and it still continued to play. The only way to stop the keyboard from playing was to turn the dial 3 or 4 clicks and then it would stop playing. If I started to play the keyboard again, the whole process would start over and I had a bunch of chords playing and a terrible sound. I finally shut the keyboard off and powered it back up and for now it seems ok. I called Korg and the person I talked to told me he had never heard of this problem before. He said that in a week or two, the 1.5 software update would be released and to install it and that should fix it, not cool. I called Sweetwater and am waiting to hear back from them.
Has anyone else had an issue?
Thanks for any guidance or help. |

To be honest, I have never heard this either..
Michael, have you ever owned a board that had Karma in it?
Are you in any way hooked up to your computer with a USB cable and in a DAW?
If you are, and I could be totally wrong, but it sounds like you have a serious loop going on from incorrect setting between the two. (Kronos and DAW)
Has all been okay, after rebooting? _________________ Lou |

The first thing the Korg Tech asked me was if I had it plugged into a computer and using midi or the USB.
No, the keyboard was plugged into a small Mackie mixer with speakers and I have a Korg DS1H pedal.
I played the keyboard last night and it seems like its working normal again.
I don't really trust it, what if I was playing at the church.
Thank you for your comment.
