Hi,
has anyone managed to create a great baritone sax patch for the Kronos.I am currently using Super Sax Section D076.
But it just doesn't cut it. I like to use my saxes for "Da Daa Daa" as in soul music sax players.
I had a great patch on my Triton which I used, but obvioulsy the Kronos doesn't recognise the Triton patches.
Any help would be gratefully received,
Paul

I ended up using the Bari sax in that other EXs (4?) that's not normally loaded by default. It's better ... but nowhere close to being able to fool anybody who's familiar with a real Bari Sax.

Not sure I understand the question.... I added that EXs to the Global/KSC auto-load list, so it gets loaded every time the Kronos boots.
But you can just manually load it to try it out and decide if you want to keep it around or not.

I'm no expert but I had to cover "valerie" by the zutons and the sax part in that is a baritone. The program I used was I-C123 and I had to EQ the mids and highs up a bit; and bring the lows down a notch; to get it to sound real. Not a world changer (what keyboard is for a horn, err reed) but it was passable.

You really have to know how to phrase and breath a Bari to
get "the" sound.

Having something that's close helps though.
A breath controller will bring it alive.

The Yamaha VL1 or VL board in the ES is the ticket.

Hi Guys,
thanks for the replies. Phinnin, I C-123 on my Kronos is "Vocalraiser" did you mean I A-123?

Captlego - When you add the EXs to the Preload, which bank do they load into?
I am worried they will overwrite my patches in the User banks
Are the EXs Combis or Programmes or both?
Sorry if I sound such a Noob.
Thanks for your help,
Paul
