I used to have the M3 set up this way, but can't figure out how I did it.

When I turn the M3 on, I don't want it to open to that "Toward The Sun" (or whatever it's called) song. It's a bad idea to have something like that right as a startup. It's like advertising how bland and generic you can make a song sound with this thing.

Anyway, I used to have it return to the last instrument I was using, and I'd like to be able to have it open to that, the first program on the list, or something (ANYTHING) else.

I can't RTFM, it's not with me. Don't be one of those forum guys. Can anyone help?

Global page 0, System Pref. tab: set Power On Mode to "memorize".

My screen always opens up to the last Combi or Program I was working on.
It never defaults to "Toward the Sun".

And I don't remember ever going into the menus to do that.
It just happens. Question

Probably you have changed it at one time and the setting is remained.

You are joking right? "Towards the Sun" may have its limitations, bland and geneic it ain't. I have put in many an hour deconstructing and reconstructing this combi to learn how Karma and the M3 tick. Hearing this combi initially, and playing with it with the pads was one of the main reasons I bought the M3 instead of the Motif or Fantom. In fact it wasn't even close!

I also have a Kronos 61, (yes total gear head here). I challenge you to find any factory combi on this outstanding piece of kit equivalent to the M3's "Toward the Sun". The quality of the M3 factory combis compared to those of the Kronos was the topic of a prior thread. My point IMHO, the M3 factory combis are superior to the Kronos. Yes, I do know it's all a matter of programming. However, many of us rely on preprogrammed combis as our programming skills are under development.

IDEA: How about a contest. All M3 users who wish to participate put together whatever using "Toward the Sun" as foundation and post it up somewhere. Could be fun, entertaining, and informative. What do you all think?
