|

Hello everybody! I am currently working on a trance track that's coming along really well ^.^ However, it is composed with patches that are most stereotypical to trance- supersaws, a pulse bass on the offbeat, standard saw pads, etc. I'm about 2/3 through the piece and I'd like to mix things up a bit, to stray from the norm of classic trance patches yet still keep that trance feel.
So, any ideas on some fun things I could synthesize to provide a unique flavor to my track while still sticking true to the genre?
Thanks! _________________ Korg R3 | Korg iMS-20 | Korg iElectribe | Roland Gaia SH-01 | Moog Slim Phatty | NI Maschine Mikro | NI Razor | Logic Pro 9

| The vocoder is always fun to experiment with. I don't normally do trance music, but over the weekend I helped a buddy add some tracks to this glitchy Daft Punk'ish track he was working on. We found some old television commericals on YouTube then routed them through the vocoder, tracked it down and chopped up the audio into samples. Came out really crazy sounding. |

I added some sampled sounds to the last electronic tune I wrote... (title of the song was "Roller Coaster.") I included a couple of mechanical sounds into the body of the song plus an actual roller coaster sound with screams at the end. Worked out great.

As an aside, the sound of my Macbook's Hard Drive starting sounds exactly like the sound in Feed Me's Cloudburn before the bass drop XD
Gotta love sampling random things. _________________ Korg R3 | Korg iMS-20 | Korg iElectribe | Roland Gaia SH-01 | Moog Slim Phatty | NI Maschine Mikro | NI Razor | Logic Pro 9
