Hello everyone. I am returning to Korg Forums after a multi-year haitus. I'm expecting to have many questions about my MicroArranger once it arrives, like: how does it differ from the iX300? What version of styles will it accept? Where can I find a compact portable power source? and others...
I see a few names and faces I'm familiar with from SZ - great to be here with you also. _________________ Cass Pawlowski

Hi Cass,
I'm back also. I've actually been a member since 02, when I got a PA80. Had a PA800 BRIEFLY a couple years back.
My new PA3X will be hitting Louisiana Wednesday. Maybe by the time you make it back down this way, we'll both have 'em.

Hi Guys,
welcome back to the forums.
Just logged in and spotted a couple familiar names, so had to say hello.
I'm usually over on the PA3X or PA2x forums.
Don's future PA3X I'm familiar with, the new Micro arranger certainly sounds interesting.
Cas, maybe the manual will tell you what style format's it's capable of loading? It's one I actually haven't downloaded yet.
Anyway, hope you had a great Christmas & all the best for the New Year. _________________ best wishes

Hi Cass, Don, and Rikki.
It's great to see so many longtime friends here and I'm looking forward to meeting new Korg keyboard-ites as well. My last Korg Keyboard was the O1WFD, so
Though I was a member of this forum a while ago, I hadn't visited here in a long time and forgot my old password so had to re-register today.
I just ordered a Korg MicroArranger from Frank (Ct AudioWorks) today so excited for it to arrive here in California next week.
Happy holidays and a terrific 2012 to all.

Hi Scott,
mine too,( prior to my PA800), luved the O1WFD.
So, you're joining the Korgie clan, haahaa, be interested to hear your thoughts on the little MicroArranger, not that I need another keyboard, still, could be handy on vacations. haahaa.
All the best for the New Year.
(Be interesting to see if Sharp gives you guys your own little Forum.)

Hi Scott! Got my PA3X today. Love it so far, but I'll need a couple weeks to see if it's a keeper.
BTW thanks for the Christmas card. I'm afraid I was a little lazy this year!
Talk to you on the phone soon.

hi Rikki: Yeah, it will be interesting to see if the MicroArranger garners enough popularity & interest to earn its own sub-forum here.
Either way, thanks to Sharp for welcoming us new MicroArranger owners to post here in the Korg Arranger (General) section.
DonM, congratulation on your new Pa3X purchase.
Do you have the 76 or 61 note version? I'm looking forward to a review from you on it once you've had some time exploring it.
Congratulations Cass & Donny Pesce on your new MicroArranger aquisitions as well.
My MicroArranger won't arrive till near the end of next week (1/5th) so as I anxiously wait for mine to arrive, I'm really looking forward to whatever you guys share about your experience with yours. btw Donny, thanks for sending me that cool shot of your new MicroArranger arrival.
Realizing the new Korg MicroArranger's essentially a miniature version of the Pa50SD, and that 'Pa80 format' styles are compatible with the Pa50SD, I assume all 'Pa80 format' styles will work on the new MicroArranger too. On the other hand, I assume that 'Pa1X', 'Pa800', and 'Pa3X' format styles won't work on the Pa50SD or MicroArranger. Am I correct about this?

Hi Scott,
Great link you posted there thanks....I think I am warming to the idea of a Micro Arranger...much the same reasons as you, for casual parties, or doodling on the lounge general fun.
As you know pretty much all styles I used are cut down to "Combo" versions, and after listening to those bonus styles, and also the original styles onboard...this little beastie might just do the biz.
I might have to keep hold of my Studiologic instead of hybridising it to my PA2x (ie install the fully weighted keybed into the PA2).....
One thing is for sure, it (Micro-Arr) will bear closer scrutiny from now on!!

Scott, I got the 61 key model.
I've spent about 24 hours on it now, off and on of course, and I like it quite a bit. Still not familiar with some of the OS functions.
I have made some Performances and starting making a Custom Songbook list. Haven't figured out how to change and save STS setings yet. Need to spend some more time in the reading room I guess!
I'd like to be able to use it New Year's Eve, but not sure I will be ready.

Only problem I had writing STS was FINDING the page where you remove the Factory Style Protection. It is in Media, Preferences. It automatically is set to "on" every time you reboot the keyboard.
Had to take a trip to the "reading room" (you know, the one with the porcelain office chair), and read the manual.
