I think the Mini KP 2 looks quite awesome. Anyone know how much sample time is available? I might sell my KP Quad inorder to finance this one, actually
WOW thanks to the SOS video I just learned that the Mini KP2 can actually cross fade from its internal MP3 player and an external source/iPod ect ect... which means a really cool DJ set up on the go! At $160 each I will be getting both units. That's pretty frakk'n cool. Hell through in the Monotribe and you'll be the sickest portable DJ out there. Imagine going to a Burner party or Rave to do a set, some poor bastard is stuck lugging all of his gear, computer, serato mixer and effects and you can you walk up to the stage and plug in a kit thats coming out of your pockets! _________________ Korg PX5d

That's pretty cool actually!
Although as a keyboardist the original mini still looks better to me as it tacks nicely on the end of many different keyboards. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

XTrade,
I agree. These models look like they have a slick back surface, so I think this is out of the question. They seem to be made to rest in the palm, not on equipment. Though, you could probably throw some rubber pads on the back to correct this.

Well actually from what I can see there are four feet on the back which should be fine in most situations. I tack mine down with blu-tack anyway. The main problem is the shape - it's completely wrong for mounting conveniently on a keyboard.
Good for holding in the hand or putting on any flat surface though. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

I think I will pick up the minikp2 first, and possibly the kaossilator2 later at some point. I will of course have to test them out, and feel that they add significantly more than the originals. The minikp2 seems very worth it, since it doubles as an mp3 player.....it looks like one anyway!
But these things seem too small to play comfortably, just like the iKaossilator (except on the ipad). Hence my need to test drive them.
these things look too good together...at $320 for both I have to get both. _________________ Korg PX5d

hey guys, news(?): look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=jDzomfOCtQQ on 1:18
if you open the back of the case (like to change the AAs), there are another 4 rubberpads on a more or less flat surface as far as i can see. still round shape on the sides.
