|
|
Hi,
I have just bought a second hand Radias, and I seem to have a problem with the Cutoff and Resonance knobs.
The minimum value from the Cutoff knob is 13 (sometimes a little more or a little less) instead of 0. When I push on on the Cutoff button, the value goes to 0, but when I stop pushing, it goes to 13 again.
The Resonance has the same problem, but minimum value is 3 in stead of 0.
The other buttons don't have this problem.
Is this a problem that can be easily fixed (by calibrating or another trick)? |

I did the following to fix the problem:
- I Opened Radias and added some contact spray to the bad knobs.
- I turned the knobs about 100 times from left to right and right to left.
I guess this cleaned the dirt out of the knobs.
those knobs will feel too smooth in the beginning, as if there is not resistance, but after some days they will feel normal again.
I sold the Radias some weeks after I did this, the knobs where still working nicely, but I don't know if my fix is permanent (I hope it is ) |
