Given that with 1.5 installed, the USB inputs accept direct inputs
from controllers in its 3 USB inputs, an agreeable and fun way to achieve 16 chord pads
is simultaneously with a Padkontrol which activates the 8 chords in the program`s memory,
and an M3 in the second USB slot, enabling 8 chords from the M3`s patch.
I`m sure there are many other variations on this theme, which would be good to hear about.
I had originally hoped the Padkontrol would facilitate 16 chords alone.
It certainly gains interesting variations through adding native Kontrol software, and the MT player,
including chords created on multiple midi channnels and strumming on the XY pad of the Padkontrol,
but I most seek 16 separate chords easily controlled.
The midi output of this dual configuration can then easily be recorded onto MPC or similiar, via the Kronos` midi out.
Even if this is an initial stage in the creative process,
it expands an appreciation of the range of combinations and programs within Kronos.
Another way to reveal its astonising and sometimes hidden depths. |
