|
|
Hi all.
Lets do something very constructive.
I started a project in the OASYS section of the forum with the intentions of releasing all the data for free, but in an uncompleted state intentionally....
I have been working on an Orchestral Library for the OASYS / KRONOS which as it stands right now is very usable. It would be my hope that if I provided a download for you all, that you would organise yourselves as a community to pool your efforts into making additional PCG sounds for all the samples so that you and everyone else can benefit from the efforts of the community working together.
Community based projects have always taken place on this forum since the very first day we have been online. Now is the time the KRONOS users start to take up the tradition and gel as a community that works together.
So... how does all that sound to you?
Regards
Sharp.
EDIT..... Here's a link to the Library.

Awesome and generous as always! If we truly are creative indivduals and we want a forum that is a positive resource.. here is the test. Thanks! _________________ “I’m into scales right now.”

I'll be happy to contribute in whatever (limited) way I can.
Even if it's just metaphorically bringing the geniuses amongst us tea and scones to help their creative endeavours. _________________ Current Equipment:

Thanks for doing this Sharp! I've worked a bit with this library in the past using Kontakt. There are many nice additions to the Kronos sounds.
Questions: How do we proceed without stepping on each others toes? Should there be one person consolidating user programs into a single PCG, or does that matter? Given the size, is it safe to assume everyone who uses it will be on 1.5.x+ with the extra RAM? It would be nice if we could standardize on a bank for the programs so it will be easy to build the combis off that.
It also might be helpful to have separate string & brass KSC files so people just looking for strings, for example, wouldn't have to load the entire orch KSC.
As a side note, 39, 40 and 70 are listed as violas but they are solo violins.

Sharp, really thank to you. (especially since I do now many orchestrations for songs and piano works.) This is for music and musical creation that this site has the most nice reasons to exist. And the Kronos is a marvel for that. _________________ trees are going fast.

What a shame this seems to be getting overlooked - the beta test invitation from Danatkorg is likely to get more replies.
So, posting this as a 'bump'. _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

I'm interested in helping out, but I'm still learning my way around adding sounds to the Kronos. If someone could point me in the right direction on how to load these, I could start messing around with them. Thanks Sharp for getting this put together. _________________ Amos

Hi Sharp,
very good project! I'm a M3 owner but I found the link of the sfz samples very useful! I'll try to use them on M3. Thanks! |
