Goddamit, they're an American band, don't rename them. They're Theater, not Theatre. |

Seen 'em last week in Offenbach/Germany...yes, great performance indeed. JR benefits from SST massively, couldn't hear even one program-change.
Heard quite a few when he used to play Oasys _________________ Kronos88, Kronos 2/61, Dave Smith Pro-2, Minimoog Voyager, MacBook Pro, LogicProX - and a whole bunch of older stuff... |

WHat types of sounds did he use, if you can recall?
By the way, did they have the new drummer? how did he do? It is a shame the old one left/ got fired... |

Yep, Mangini is brilliant, i believe he holds world records in fastest drummer...and he does not spit while performing lol
I wonder if Mr Rudess is using pure Kronos sounds or is he using vst's etc for a thicker sound?

JR does use a Roland V synth for his sounds on the Continuum and Zen Riffer. Well' at least he used to. As for his other sounds, I'm not sure. When he got his Oasys it was to partly to try and get rid of his rack of synthes. _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

Yes, that's what he said on more than one occasion. Looking at his rack today, I'd say mission failed. |

Probably so, as the rack kept growing! _________________ Sam

That's what happens when you have buckets of money and people to move and set up your equipment. And yes, I am a bit jealous, but only a bit. _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

I've seen an interview with him. If I remember correctly, he said he uses a few different VST's in the studio, and his sound engineer has sampled those sounds to use them live with his Kronos.
I remember this because I was a bit disappointed he has "a guy" that prepares the Kronos for him... _________________ Old gig setup: Yamaha S90, Roland Fantom XR, Hammond XM-1, M-Audio Axiom 61
