This has probably been discussed before. If so I apologize. Anyone know of a cheap ($50 range) padded bag that works well with the 73 key SV-1? I've read that the "official" bag is'nt really worth the money, and unless you have the optional stand it's pretty flimsy. When packed in the case, the stand supposedly gives it support? I've seen some generic padded bags but the dimensions are a bit off. Any suggestions? Come to think of it, with the substantial reduction in price on the new SV-1's, why didn't the bag and stand price drop as well?! I see the black stand price is lower, but the original chrome is still the same.

If you want zippers, wheels and latches to last don't skimp on a bag. You can get good bags for the price of the official bag.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not much of a gigging musician anymore (maybe 20 years ago!). Nowadays the SV does'nt really leave my home studio. It's mainly used for composing/recording. I'm moving in a few months and just want something to keep it safe in the back of my car whilst driving about 1200 miles! I may occasionally play with some friends, so a cheap bag is fine for my needs. I'd use the shipping box but it's too big.

In that case, if you want a really cheap bag Road Runner isn't that bad. They will be bigger than you need so you may need to buy some foam.
