hi all
am i the only one that gets very distracted by the fact that the little bpm light gets overshadowed by the giant flashing sample bank and bpm/sample info panel whenever i hit the sample button?
its pretty tough to keep track of the beat light when the other lights are so much bigger, and dont blink in time with the bpm.
anyone have any tips on making this easier or making all the blinks sync up?
thanks! |

Do it by feel? What I find works for me is to make sure I've synced the BPMs with the shift+BPM button for the 4-count I want, then just hum "one-two-three-four" and tap my finger next to the sample slot in time with the count.
Goofy advice? Maybe, but it'll take your consciousness off the blinky lights, and tapping right below the actual sample slot button means you're mentally timed up to hit it with no delay and gives your mind another layer of occupation. See if this helps! |

yeah, i'm definitely coming up with my own little tricks like that too.. its just gonna take some practice for sure.
well korg, if you're listening, and if its possible, this would be a great update.
make all the flashing lights and menus flash in time with the bpm.
another trick i do sometimes is to just make a quick sound with a 1 beat sample which essentially creates a metroknome , then turn it way down with the fx release slider until i have established some kind of beat.
thanks |
