Can anyone recommend a case, preferably lightweight (no roady-ing, just personal transport in a car) for the 61 note version of the PA3? I saw another thread, but it seemed to be about the 76.

Soft and plastic hards will do, but no heavy ATA type stuff, please.

Please, personal experience ONLY, no 'this OUGHT to work' type stuff, thank you.

Diki, I'm using the same bag I used with E50. Made by Roadrunner.
It wouldn't be much help in a big accident, but fine for the little moving I do.

This would be worth checking out for you. Some of the Tyros 4 users have this case and it weighs only 20 lbs with wheels. The T4 case is somewhat larger so for the PA3x 61, I'd say it's safe to say that should knock the weight down at least a couple pounds.

The reason this case is so light in weight is because they use luan plywood.

When you compare the weight even with soft cases (not gig bags) you will find the soft cases will weigh the same or even more. Gator cases is one good example of very heavy in weight for the size and amount of protection.

If I get a PA3X, I'm quite certain I would get the above case or the 13 pound Gaurdian CK-10-61 case.

I use the Guardian case. I have 2 of them one 76 key model for the larger keyboards. The 61 key model works well for the Pa3x 61. Guardian offers plenty of protection at a light weight as Lanco has mentioned. Guardian also includes heavy duty foam spacers so that you can customize the fit. I've used the guardian for about 5 years, it's held everything from an S900, s910, Korg Pa800 and now the 3x.
