Ok.
So what's the minimal and maximal adjustable height?
Thanks. |

I have the original chrome stand (ST-SV1), and it definitely has adjustable telescopic legs. However, as you demonstrate above, all pictures of the new black stand (ST-SV1-BK) appear to show one-piece non-adjustable legs.
Has anyone got the new black stand to confirm whether it's height-adjustable or not? _________________ PaulR

Yes, it's not very clear.... Some other times, we can find this picture of a black stand with adjustable legs...

Just checked with my "new" stand...and confirm that it's at a fixed height... Since I sit when I play no problem, but those who stand up might have difficulties...
What inscrutable thoughts are going thru those Korg guys heads? Why would someone even change the stand to a non-telescoping one?? And finally...Since Korg appears to be making these changes, are they going to keep the SV-1 line going instead of replacing it with the Krome???
Very confusing Grasshopper...

The write-up for the new black stand (ST-SV1-BK) on the BH Photo site says that the legs are height adjustable.
FWIW, I also use the On-Stage platform stand and its perfect for the SV-1. I have the width set so that the rubber feet on the bottom of the SV-1 fit right into the holes on the top of the platform, essentially locking it in place. |

... and the photo clearly shows one-piece non-adjustable legs!
... and the description quotes the original stand's part number (ST-SV1) rather than the updated part number (ST-SV1-BK). _________________ PaulR

Yup, you're totally right. They must have just kept the original description.
Well, the OnStage stand works great and is fully adjustable, $90 and in stock everywhere. Plus if and when you sell the SV-1, you can still use it. |

From Korg:
Hello still442,
Thank you for your email. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. This is an extremely busy time of year for us.
The stand for the SV1 keyboard actually is NOT adjustable.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to email us again.
Thank you!

Likely to keep production costs down (maybe weight as well). Maybe they found the legs were starting to give out and couldn't stand the potential lawsuits. Also, the original stand is not the simplest to put away (it is once you know the process) _________________ Korg SV-1, Prophet 12, DeepMind 12, 2xJU-06, Akai EWI USB |

Twinton, hey. The first photo you posted is the black version, and you're right, that version is *not* adjustable.
The 2nd pic you posted is adjustable, appears black in the photo, but it's actually the original chrome version: One can see the chrome on the top part of the legs, and the lower extendable portion of each leg is black. The "Flat black" on the bottom of the legs is the black, and the "shiny black" on the top part is the chrome part.
UPDATE: Since the original adjustable stand (chrome) is no longer available from Korg, I've opted for a stand from Ultimate Support instead (see posts below). _________________ SV-1 73.
