Karma-fied sound set for Korg M3 - Acoustic Inspiration

Post by m3styles »

Dear all,

with a kind permission of Korg Forums I would like to announce Acoustic Inspiration - a new fully KARMA-fied sound set for Korg M3.

The set contains 32 high quality Combis for the Korg M3, fully programmed with KARMA function. The set was designed specifically to offer different and unique music styles which are not much represented in factory sound sets: soft piano and guitar ballads, 8 beat, 6/8 ballads, rock/progressive, jazz, funk, hip hop, acoustic ballads, unplugged, blues, waltzes, soundtrack/movie and even bossa.

KARMA function is fully utilized: Each Combi uses all 4 karma modules and 8 different scenes, from simple to complex. Realtime controls are also fully programmed: 8 sliders, 8 switches, joystick, ribbon, XY Pad, 8 Realtime knobs /sliders and 2 switches. Complete Master Layer provides full realtime control and endless possibilities.

Hundreds of hours of work went into producing this set and I'm sure many of you will find it useful. I also believe the price is very reasonable. Please visit my page for more information and download. The download link will be provided to you automatically after the purchase.

Have you uploaded any audio samples of any of the combis being played so we can hear what they sound like? Had a look on your site but couldn't see any demos.

Thanks for kind replies. Yes I'm aware this is a must, sorry for not providing a demo yet.

I'm working on it and will provide a demonstration medley shortly on my site. I will let you know when it is finished.

Dear all,

quick demo is now available at http://m3styles.vze.com/ to give a basic flavour of the set.

Quick walkthrough shows a small part of KARMA generated scenes within some combis. Due to compressed mp3 file, the sound may not represent original quality.

I hope you like it!

Hi, I got it this morning and must say the combis are awsome, specially slow/jazzy beats with some cool riffs, thanks.

I have one question: is there a way to force a start of a scene immediately as with original combis and not only on next bar? Sorry, I'm new to M3 and still exploring...

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the combis and appreciate your comments.

Scenes are complex and sometimes completely change the nature of the style so they are programmed in a way to allow you to select a scene ahead of exact time and still get a smooth transition. If you need instant triggering for some reason, this can be changed easily on page 7-1-7 KARMA 1-GE Setup, Scene Matrix tab. Just change Scene Change Quantize setting from 1 Bar to something shorter.

I hope this helps. Have fun!

M3styles,

Any chance of getting this dumbed down for those of us with the original KARMA keyboard?

I loved my old red Karma a lot, but unfortunately KARMA and Generated Effect (GE) implementation on these boards is different and combis would have to be developed from the scratch.

Could please anybody who already got this set and have a chance to play it give us an opinion or a short comment? Demos sound promising. Thanks.

Jorg,

I have this for a few weeks now and I'm very happy with it. I also played arranger keyboards in the past and always missed some stuff I was able to make before. I always thought M3 is oriented more towards electronic, trance, hip-hop etc. Now this set was a big surprise to me as it is focused exactly on different type of music, like getting an extra bonus for M3 never thought could exist... :D

So, I can absolutely highly recommend this set. Combinations are very fresh sounding and detailed and are really joy to play or jam with. There are many highlights, ballads, funky stuff, Pink Floyd guitar touches here and there etc.

If I compare it with Reincarnated set from Karma Lab I also own, the music styles are different there. If you are looking into techno or trance you will not find it here.

All in all, for me definitely worth downloading.

Edit: Thanks Marko for a kind chat. I wish you will create more soon!

Regards,
T
