|

Could someone please give me a step by step guide on how to copy/install libraries with samples onto the hard disk of the Kronos, so that you have the programs (and combis) with the corresponding samples in access.
For example:
I downloaded burningbush´s Sonatina Strings and see in the Sonatina Strings folder following subfolders:
Sonatina_Strings (another subfolder containing more subfolders with *.ksf-files)
Sonatina_Strings.ksc
Sonatina_Strings.pcg
I´d like to copy the samples to the hard disk and then load the programs individually, to select the programs I like, and possibly add a ksc-autoload later.
In the manual I can´t find anything. When I try - in Disk mode (Utility) - to copy and paste the folder Sonatina_Strings from my usb-stick to the internal harddisk drive, I get the message: "File not found".
What am I doing wrong? Or rather: How do I do it right?
Thanks for your help! _________________ Cheers, Michael

I think it is possible to load the sample files (KSC file), in the global page.
Then for the PCG file: don't load it but open it and select each program one by one. _________________

DoubleM,
The library is not that big, so It's pretty fast to load it from your USB stick when you want it. But, if you want to copy it to your internal drive, you can do that too. Here's what I did:
1. Download the file "Sonatina-Strings.zip" and unzipped it to get a folder called "Sonatina-Strings" on my Mac.
2. Drag the "Sonatina-Strings" folder onto a USB stick.
3. Plug the USB stick into a Kronos. In Disk mode, you can select your USB stick and see the folder.
4. Inside the folder are 4 files:
.DS_Store
Sonatina_Strings
Sonatina_Strings.KSC
Sonatina_Strings.PCG
Note that the top level folder has a dash in the name "Sonatina-Strings", which the names inside the folder use underscore. As you noted, "Sonatina_Strings" is a folder with sample files inside.
5. Select the top level folder "Sonatina-Strings" and select the Utility tab.
6. From the pull down menu select "Copy"
7. Now, change the Drive select from the USB stick to the HDD:Internal and press "Paste". You should be pasting it to the same level as your FACTORY folder and Korg Options folder (if you have one).
It will put up a message that says "copying"
8. Now if you select the HDD, you will see the "Sonatina-Strings" folder there.
9. You can open it and load the KSC, but you'll want to make sure to load it with "Clear RAM" and NOT "Append". If you load for append, the indexing will get goofed up and your programs won't sound right.
10. With the KSC loaded, you can now browse into the Sonatina_Strings.PCG, open the programs and audition them.
You can load the KSC automatically using KSC auto load if you like. _________________ Andy Leary
