i want to know the same, now that we've discovered that KARMA settings aren't stored correctly in programs. That makes 1.6 useless for me considering using KARMA is a great part of how i use the Kronos.

So is i want to know it also, is it safe to downgrade to 1.5 when you have 1.6 installed?

No idea...maybe my local repair guy was wise...when he installed the ram/fan--just took it to 1.52...

I suppose it could be achieved from a complete system restore.

You may find that any PCGs created under 1.6 don't load though - which for me would be ALL my work so far (from the last 24 hours since I actually started using it).

KARMA is very important to me and this bug is disappointing. The MS20 thing is also a little surprising. I hope that they get these things solved fast. I don't want to start to regret my purchase already.

Link to my thread, Here.

Please see Stephen Kay's reply about the Karma problem in v1.6 here:

http://korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=71335&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

He posted a workaround to the problem.

I do not have the information to answer your specific downgrade question. I can only recommend to contact Korg official support for that question.

I now see what you mean about loading samples... and as the editor is also giving me major headaches, I've decided to go back to 1.5. Backed everything up and reinstalled from DVD's then upgraded to 1.5.

I'll think I'll wait for 1.7.

So If I upgraded to 1.6 already, I can no longer load multiple wave samples simultaneously , right?

Just FYI: I just tried and succeded to "downgrade" from 1.6 to 1.5 just by applying the 1.5 OS update from my thumb drive. It went straight through and I have discovered no issues so far.

The MS-20 bug is still there, but as it seems this bug was introduced already with 1.5, that's no surprise.

For safety reasons I created a new backup before AND after the downgrade, just in case the PCGs would be incompatible.

I'll come back and report if there are any issues in the future.

So from what you're saying, it's not necessary to do the full install?
Please let us know if the 1.6 PCG backup is compatible with 1.5, thanks.

Anymore folks tried the downgrade to 1.5 without reinstalling? I am thinking about this route. Too many random glitches happening to me in 1.6.

I've just do that to try installing EXs12... No issues with the downgrade (however I saved ALL file) I didn't lose my Programs, Combis and the activation for my libraries...

However, I don't know if this will undone the new RH3 keybed setting available on the 1.5.2
