I recently, after deliberating for what must have been fifteen years, took the dive and upgraded from my Kurzweil K2000 to my brand new Kronos 88. Obviously this is more than a generational upgrade, and I totally love my Kronos. My playing has upgraded as well.

One thing I am trying to do is record my playing so I can share with friends and relatives. The obvious approach is to use the sequencer, and I have had some immediate success. The sequencer on the K2000 had driven me nuts until I had just totally given up on it. Sequencing on the Kronos has so far been quite reasonable.

But, there is one area that I can't figure out. When I have a reasonable performance captured, but I'd like to modify it slightly, I can't for the life of me figure out what to do. I suspect its that I'm just not thinking like a "Kronos musician". I went and found the track edit, but when I'm expecting to be able to display and modify individual notes, all I see are unintelligible dashes on a given track. Edit pops up a dialog to make a few changes, but I can't figure out what it is I'm being allowed to change.

Is it just that what I'm expecting requires software on my PC and just can't be done directly on the Kronos?

Hi, mgibian.

You are in the right place on the " Track Edit " tab. Very Happy

Now,

Click on the drop down menu in the upper right hand corner
    Choose: MIDI Event Edit

Here you can edit individual events (including notes)
of MIDI data.

For more information, see “MIDI Event
Edit” on page 628 of the Parameter Guide.

We do have a request in to Korg to add back the Track View (graphical editing screen) from the Korg M3 (pretty please, korg Razz ),
But this will allow you to manually edit your notes one by one.

Hope this helps Cool

I can't be real specific here because I don't sequence much on the Kronos, but there is a command in the page menu (upper RH corner) of that page that allows you to filter the MIDI event data. It simplifies the process write a bit. Check the Parameter Guide for details. Just remember to select the correct track to edit.

I keep forgetting to look at that drop down menu.

Thank you.

Let it become a habit that sticks.
