I just bought KLC today, registered it and installed it, but when I tried to get the "free upgrade", I received the error: "We could not confirm your registration within the time frame. You may not register the product or the registaiton date is out of the time frame."

I don't know what this is supposed to mean, since I've already registered the software, and it's after August 2010, which is the only stipulation for getting the free upgrade.

What can I do?

Thanks.

Steve

Contact them directly - they have a contact link about one screen down on the left hand side.

Tell them you are dissatisfied and why - and have supporting info; any emails, the registration info, your user name, etc.

If you don't get a quick response ask for your money back. The product is defective as far as you're concerned. They won't want to give you a refund (no company does) and may be able to provide you with a link that works.

I had a similar experience with Native-Instruments recently - bad disc and unable to load Komplete - they have disc images for direct download. I'd be surprised if KorgUser couldn't do the same for you.

The only link I saw states that if I have a problem with a Korg product I bought, I need to contact the Korg distributor in my country. However, Korg is not affiliated with KorgUser.net, (where I bought the software)--and there's no way to contact KorgUser.net. In fact, the e-mail I received when I bought the software said: "See the USER SUPPORT corner on http://www.korguser.net if you have questions about the product".

There's no way to contact anyone affiliated with KorgUser.net, as far as I can tell. I assumed this forum was their "support" forum, since KorgUser.net lists it on their "Home" page, and the e-mail directs me here.

I guess I could just dispute the charge with my credit card, since I'm not getting what I was promised (and which was what I based my purchasing decision upon). I don't want to do that though, but if I can't reach someone at KorgUser.net, I won't have much of a choice.

Korgforums is unofficial community - non-sponsored, non-affiliated, not supported by Korg corporate. Also, not affiliated with KorgUser.net (AFAIK) and it surprises me to see KorgForums listed as "support" except as a resource.

This is the second post I've seen re: faulty downloads from KorgUser - my own experience with them was with bundled M1-LE that came with my Nano-key controller and I had no problem with it.

Looked at KorgUser again - help is activated by completing registration including legit email and registration number for product activation - a step over and above downloading and installing your software. Gotta do that before asking for the bonus download - it (download) activates with registration.

KorgForums is listed as a forum link only, as is Yahoo's Korg User Group - neither is affiliated with KorgUser.net.

Since KorUser.net is the on-line sales arm that is referenced at Korg.com I feel pretty safe in saying yes, they are affiliated with Korg corporate. But their (software) divisional help may be separate from Korg Corp's (hardware) help which is why they can't/won't help in this case.

Keep trying.

I bought a nanoKontrol2 (new) and got the card stating "More software are [sic] available!" but I used that for EZDrummer, figuring I'd get the full version of M1 when I got KLC Digital Edition "Special Bundle".

So no one knows who's running KorgUser.net or whom I can contact? Somebody has to be in charge of this thing....

Thanks for checking Bill, but I have registered the software--twice, actually. For the product name, I chose "KORG Legacy Collection series". I entered the product ID and the lock code as well as all the rest of the information, and I've received confirmations via e-mail about all of this.

It's the same as with most Korg stuff: Contact your local distributor, and they will contact Korguser.net (which itself is run out of Japan).

Hi Steve,

The special bundle is only available for users that have purchased boxed version of KLC-DE, not online purchases (digital download) of other Legacy title:

"Owners who register "KORG Legacy Collection - DIGITAL EDITION" since August 1st 2010 can upgrade to "KORG Legacy Collection - Special Bundle" for free."

Hope this helps to clarify!
