Yamaha VL1 is the synthesizer that better mimics the sounds of bowed strings. But you have to learn to execute every sound involving the Breath control, aftertouch AND 3 modulation wheels !!
Believe me. I have one of the few...

Beautiful! The piece reminded me of "Call lof the Wild"by Alan Parsons.
