Hi folks
This may sound a bit stupid but I bought an M3M a while back and found that I more and more wanted a keybed for it. Couldn't find one so I ended up buying a second-hand M3-61.
I am having difficulty selling the M3M (and realise I won't get much for it now) but wondered if there was any benefit in actually keeping it. So, just wondered if any of you have 2 M3's and if you could suggest a reason for hanging on to it.
Sorry if this sounds a bit ridiculous - just after some suggestions....
Thanks

If I had extra M3M I'd keep it in my church where I play often. So I'd need less hassle carrying my stuff from home to church and back.
On gear for the go and another fixed at home studio. _________________ Korg KronosX & M3 & Pa2x Pro • Reaper • NI Komplete 8/Kore 2 • Omnisphere • Usine • soundcloud.com/allandd |

I would think running eight KARMA modules together should be fun _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, Karma, RADIAS-R, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II, Novation ReMote37SL, Akai APC20, MOTU MIDI TimePiece 2.

+1 to alland. Having gear set up on-site at a regular venue is very nice - a time saver and makes for a more consistent performance week-to-week.
Also - having a second of the same synth engine is really handy from the standpoint of reliability and repair issues. If you tour, that second module is an absolute necessity; you can get one repaired without missing dates, or even send one ahead if you play more than one date in a day.

I think it still is possible to use even notes on one and uneven notes on the other, making approximately a double polyphony M3 without the need of changing anything (except that parameter). _________________

I'm the opposite.
I bought the m3 61 and also an m3 73 and then sold one module but kept both keybeds,
I gig with the 73 keybed and practice at home on the 61 |

I think this is a good way to use it, you only need the module part to drag around. _________________

Heh, I wish I'd bought the 88 key version instead of the M, my own self, but I figured my Alesis 88-key boards were enough. Then I realized that the presets are devised to use the ribbon & switches for performance & that the RH3 has graduated hammer action like a real piano and now I regret the choice. Korg should have made the key beds available separately.
EDIT: AND that the sequencer is easier to work with when using the M3 keyboard, rather than an external MIDI In!! _________________ - dysamoria.com
