Hello

I've created an EXB Radias patch using MODSeqs 1, 2 & 3 but I also like the patch with MOD SEQ off. Is there a way to control this as a performance control like SW1/2 or Mod Wheel? I'm not finding MOD SEQ on/off as a modulation destination or as a control destination.

Thanks!

Yes, if there's one unused Virtual Patch per Mod Seq you want to control.

1. Set the Mod Seq destination to a Patch Int.

2. At the Virtual Patch page set that Patch's destination as desired. Set Int to 0. (Or use Int. as a fast way to offset all Mod. Seq steps by that amount.)

3. Choose a Virtual Patch source, which will enable/disable (or scale the intensity of, if using a slider) the Mod Seq's influence on the sound.

One limitation occurs if you're trying to control pitch--Virtual Patch can't reach certain notes in tune, especially beyond an octave or so. If you'd typically set up arpeggiator patterns between 0 and +24 with Mod Seq, you might want to try working between -12 and +12 instead. The actual Mod Seq values would be between -48 and +48 because it's not in semitones or linear anymore.

I typically use Tone Adjust mode to turn on/off the mod sequencers. I think it's MOD SEQ SW. Assign that setting to one of the 8 switches.

That's definitely easier. I didn't think of checking Tone Adjust for Mod Seq parameters. The method above would probably only be of interest if someone wanted variable intensity (via RT slider, ribbon or X-Y) instead of on/off.
